FAILED APPOINTMENTS

IN SEPTEMBER 2016

83 PATIENTS FAILED TO ATTEND FOR THEIR GP APPOINTMENT

AND

61 PATIENTS FAILED TO ATTEND FOR THEIR NURSE APPOINTMENT

THIS WASTE OF STAFF TIME EQUATED TO 14 HOURS GP TIME AND 19 HOURS OF NURSE TIME.

SOME APPOINTMENTS WERE MADE ON THE SAME DAY AS THE NON ATTENDANCE!

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS PATIENTS WHO NEED APPOINTMENTS ARE HAVING TO WAIT, HENCE CREATING A WAITING LIST

THE PRACTICE MONITOR CLOSELY ALL FAILURES TO ATTEND AND IT IS PRACTICE POLICY THAT IF A PATIENTS DOES NOT ATTEND FOR 3 APPOINTMENTS IN A CALENDAR YEAR THEY CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE PRACTICE LIST AND WOULD NEED TO FIND ANOTHER LOCAL GP

PLEASE CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU NO LONGER NEED IT AND HELP US TO ENSURE THAT ALL PATIENTS ARE SEEN IN A TIMELY MANNER
