Appointments
Our aim is to give you the earliest convenient appointment possible, which is usually within two working days.
We also aim to see you within 30 minutes of your appointment time; however, delays can happen, if a delay should occur we would give you an explanation. We will be able to offer you an alternative appointment if you do not wish to wait.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can offer it to another patient.
PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY TO SEE THE DOCTOR FOR MINOR AILMENTS AND SOME PATIENTS WILL BE SEEN BY THE PRACTICE NURSE
PATIENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND FOR THEIR APPOINTMENTS.
Patients who do not attend for appointments are monitored closely. Patients who fail to attend on 3 occassions will be called into the practice to discuss their non-attendance. Practice Policy states that patients can then be removed from the practice list.
Urgent Appointments
If you have an urgent problem, every effort will be made for you to be seen on the same day. You will however be expected to wait and we will try our utmost to fit you in between booked appointments.
Emergencies
All genuine emergencies will be seen immediately without an appointment and urgent cases will be seen on the same day.
Doctor and Referrals
We operate the choose and book system for referrals/ appointments to secondary care.
You can request to be seen at a hospital of your choice, providing the hospital you choose provides the service you are being referred for, and you are able to make the appointment before you leave the surgery.
