FACE COVERINGS


ALL PATIENTS COMING IN TO THE SURGERY ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK OR FACE COVERING. WE HAVE A VERY LIMITED SUPPLY IN SURGERY SO PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WHEREVER POSSIBLE.


CORONAVIRUS


The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.


NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need 


Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.


In Scotland call your GP or NHS 24 on 111 out of hours.


In Wales call 111 (if available in your area) or 0845 46 47.


In Northern Ireland call 111.

Nurses

Our Practice Nurses are highly qualified. They run a number of clinics which are held in the well-equipped treatment room and assist the Doctors with minor surgery procedures, cervical smears and well person checks.

Specialist clinics run by the nurses include

  • Health checks for New Patients
  • Health checks for patients over 75
  • Well women (age 16-64 years)
  • Cervical smears
  • Diabetic clinics
  • Asthma clinics
  • Breast Awareness/Womens issues
  • Teenage matters
  • Hypertension Clinic (Blood Pressure)
  • Stop smoking advice
  • Weight checks
  • Routine Dressings clinics
  • Lipid Clinic (Cholesterol screening)
  • Vaccinations and Immunisations

There may be times when it is not necessary to see the Doctor and your appointment could be made to see one of the Practice Nurses. The Nurses will liaise with the Doctor, where appropriate, to ensure you receive the best possible medical care.
